Maeroa Intermediate School
You belong. You belong here, no matter who you are, where you come from, what language you speak, or what traditions you follow, or where your clothes were purchased. There's nothing about you that isn't accepted in this classroom.
This is the first rule in our classroom: You belong...

I am me,
I wonder what tomorrow will bring,
I hear new sounds,
I see the future,
I want to learn,
I pretend I'm not excited about tomorrow,
I feel the complete opposite,
I touch the door to the road of the unknown,
I worry I will not succeed,
I cry in a nervous breakdown,
I am me and that is reassuring,
I understand that it will be hard,
I dream of the feeling of success,
I try to work my way there,
I hope to learn many new things along the way
I am me...
I am unique
I wonder if I can make a difference
I hear inspiration knocking on my door
I see a world of mystery
I want to become an ambassador
I am trying to embrace my surroundings
I pretend I have already achieved my goals
I feel loving emotions all around me
I touch others hearts
I worry about my friends
I cry out to those who are lost
I am unbreakable
I understand the choices and consequences
I say uplifting and comforting words of peace
I dream to be someone helpful to be remembered
I try to get a fuller understanding of everything
I have the opportunity to achieve all

Pachamama, Over fishing.
Group reflection: I think we completed our task well which was to create an ad that coincides with Pachamama (Mother Earth/ what you take you give back) and sustainability. We think we did well at working together as a group because we produced more work as a team. Next time if we could do another project, we would plan better and make the message clearer.
We chose these photos because it related well for our subtopic which was overfishing. We chose a trailer over a movie because a trailer is an ad and a movie is not an ad. The idea of a horror trailer fitted perfectly with the message we were trying to get across. If we don't do something soon about overfishing, a horrible thing will happen, the sea will be empty of all life.
