The Rm 4 nutty 'pillars

So, today we came to school to look at the progress of our new buddies! We searched and searched only to find one of our caterpillar friends just hanging about on a desk! We waited and waited ALL day for him to change into a chrysalis! Finally at 3.10 he did!

Apologies to parents who had to wait a bit for the student to get out after school! It's very exciting to watch this science in progress!

The boys nutty buddy is on the move and can't decide where to hang! We'll have to tread carefully when we get to the class in the morning!

Goal setting conferences Tuesday March 5th and Thursday March 7th

The students have goal setting conference booking slips in their bags.
Please get these back to me as soon as possible.

CONFERENCES are 15 minutes long. Another appointment time can be made at this time if you feel you need more time.

These are goal setting conferences run by your child. They will be showing you their work and reflecting on ways they can make improvements. You will also have an opportunity to work with them to set an achievable short term goal relating to their learning.

See you in a couple of weeks!

Homework information for parents.

The homework tasks the children came home with today are due on the 22nd Feb, in 2 weeks.

Over the next 5 weeks we will be looking at ethics and citizenship. Of course you are aware our school theme is 'be the change'. This homework relates directly to what we will be looking at in the classroom.

If you have any issues with this, please feel free to either call me at school or email at the address supplied above.

I am more than aware that my students are very busy people and if homework becomes a battle, please let me know. The students work VERY hard during the day and I am not here to make life more difficult for you and your family.

If you prefer worksheet type of homework, there are books available at local books hope you can purchase to do with the children.

Please make sure the students are actively completing their homework themselves. If you need to help them more than necessary the tasks may be too hard for them. Please ask your child to see me in this case and I will adjust accordingly.

Today, making butter
